Want to work with an award-winning and quickly expanding company? We’re the leading website for outdoor holidays, making it a doddle to book camping, glamping and caravan sites all over the world, with over 5,300 to choose from.
As SEO Lead, you will champion, spearhead and report against our global SEO efforts. With around 30m bednights already sold, we want to accelerate our growth in Europe and beyond, whilst consolidating our lead in our primary market (UK). It is therefore vital you have global experience, ideally within travel/ecommerce/marketplaces. Almost half our traffic is from SEO.
The role is a rare opportunity to lead SEO at a profitable, bootstrapped, UK-headquartered scaleup with transaction value nearing £100m. Underpinned by broader trends in sustainability and wellness, the potential for further growth is huge.
As such, we are looking for someone able to define a strategy, get hands-on with implementation and deliver rapid growth.

- Ensuring SEO initiatives are scaled to provide material benefit.

- Monitoring and reporting on SEO performance, and proactively determining the impact of any algorithm updates or competitor activity.
- Owning the global content strategy, focusing on keyword expansion, development of linkable assets, making on-going optimisations and experimenting with scalable solutions.
- Producing technical audits and recommendations to ensure engines are able to effectively crawl and index our content. Collaborating with our product and engineering teams to ensure correct implementation and that future projects align with our wider SEO goals and vision.
- Being very hands on in the execution of SEO activities and monitoring their impact.
- Owning relationships with any agencies or freelancers currently supporting our SEO activities.
- Collaborating other marketing channels and PR to identify synergies, maximise growth impact, and align strategically.
- Serving as an SEO ambassador within Pitchup, to help spot and evaluate opportunities from elsewhere in the business to help maximise the SEO channel’s potential.
- Keep abreast of SEO and integrated marketing trends.

From these 2+ years, you will demonstrate a track record of defining and executing strategies that generate significant growth in organic rankings and acquisition (across all areas of organic optimisation including on-site, off-site and technical optimisation).
- Happy to be close to the detail and personally execute SEO strategies.
- Experience working as in-house SEO is preferred.
- You must be data driven - having a strong analytical thought process and ability to interpret findings into actionable insights

- Experienced at working in collaboration with marketing and engineering teams in order to solve SEO and user related problem spaces.
- Self motivated and able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
