Description

We are looking for a part-time Treasury Manager to support the growth of GoodDollar Protocol, and facilitate its ongoing decentralization journey. As Treasury Manager, you will set up and tackle working with the community of GoodDAO members the challenge of managing and utilizing the GoodDAO teasury. This includesmaking recommendations for the network token treasuries, and help GoodDollar achieve sustainable growth both as a protocol and decentralized network.

You are our perfect candidate if you have a strong interest in learning more about DAO operations and asset management, and a belief that Web3 will enable us to build a more equitable world. You are passionate about building your career in the space, would be even better if you have a background in investment banking, management consulting (finance/fintech sector), equity research, or finance. You are self-managed and used to working in a high-tech (remote) environment, and are excited to learn how to use new tech/tools. You are passionate about the opportunities of decentralized finance but also wary of its challenge and able to see through hype and FUD - and ready to join (or already have) this fast-paced industry.

What you will do

• Establish and set-up the GoodDAO treasury (spending, investment, and sales)
• Assist make recommendations for managing the community-owned on-chain treasury (spending, diversification, liquidity seeding,...)
• Identify and represent the interests of the GoodDAO token holders in strategic decision making
• Curate, onboard and train a group of dedicated community members to sit on the GoodDAO treasury committee
• Set up and contribute to the grants program & recruit grantees
• Manage GoodDAO financial planning and forecasting
• Prepare/oversee accounting and record-keeping operations including preparation of financial reports (profit & loss/income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement)
• Manage financial accounting and reporting as well as our banking relationships
• This is a part-time contributor role, scoped at approximately 10 hours a week.

Requirements

• Experience in managing a corporate budget and investments, and demonstrated passion and interest to do so in a Web3 context
• Ownership mentality where you know how to build and launch things “from zero to one”
• Experience working at a fast-growing tech company or in the financial services industry
• Understanding of financial modeling, valuation, investing, and investment management landscape (particularly within the financial services, fintech & consumer tech industries)
• Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally: you’ll be at the nexus of community relationships including corporate sponsors and donors, community members, and strategic partners
• A desire to become crypto native and explore new best practices and tools
• You are structured, self-managed, entrepreneurial, and result-driven
• You are passionate about how Web3 and DeFi can be used to address financial inequality

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: investment banking, management consulting, equity research, or finance.
• Experience interacting with the investment community (including buy- and sell-side analysts), key shareholders, financial media, and potential shareholders
• Previous experience in crypto and/or in a startup is a strong positive (but not a must)

Expectations

• This is a part-time role paid hourly. The expected commitment is between 20-30 hours a month.
• There will be initial set up work in establishing the program and the processes, and then will proceed ongoing in a 5 hour a week time commitment.
• The hourly rate will be approximately $30-40 USD an hour dependent on candidates, experience, and location. Payments may be made in crypto, and a mix of stablecoins and G$ used for payments.
