Celo Foundation’s support of GoodDollar protocol is based on seeding adoption of G$ on Celo.
A minimum of $100,000 USD of G$ based Celo are allocated for grants, bounties and incentives. The goal of the funds are to empower adoption of G$ on Celo by other builders and community organizations, members, in the form of bounties. The goal of the committee is to enable Celo and GoodDollar community members to take an active role in shaping the adoption of GoodDollar across the Celo ecosystem.
The grants and bounties are given in G$ tokens, and designed to support adoption of GoodDollar. This can include education and advocacy efforts (community education, hackathons), bounties to build software / applications, or applications for G$ rewards to deploy as part of marketing incentives.
The Celo <> G$ Grant Manager to set up and oversee the Celo <> GoodDollar grant and bounty process. This individual will lead the process for how these funds are distributed and disbursed. They will have the influence on the ultimate programming and grant recipients, and will be responsible to establish a decision-making process in collaboration with the Celo Foundation, Good Labs team, and larger GoodDollar community.
The selection process for this role will be done in a competitive application process, and be selected by members of the Celo Foundation and Good Labs teams.
Goal
Recruit a part-time grant manager from the Celo and GoodDollar communities to sit on the Celo <> G$ grant committee and establish the process and oversee the effective administration of G$ grants
A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Celo & GoodDollar ecosystems
Be an interdisciplinary team, with representative skills on product, economics, engineering, communications, community development programming
Grants will be used for both code and no-code activities.
Responsibilities
The Celo <> G$ Community Grant Manager should be an individual with deep understanding of the GoodDollar and Celo ecosystems, and their mutual interests.
Serve as the internal owner of the grants process while working with Celo Foundation & Good Labs representatives
Manage the entire Grants operations at the Celo Foundation including applications, evaluation, approval, compliance and finance / invoicing processes, ensuring a positive grantee experience to best support Celo Foundation
Track progress of grantees on milestones in line with agreement terms
Develop a framework and process to analyze Grants ROI and prepare regular reports on Grant performance
Run NPS surveys to measure grantee experience and identify measures to improve the overall experience
Define any new process flows, roadmap of feature requests, and improvements that will eventually be developed by the technical partners
This is a part-time role. There will be initial set up work in establishing the program and the processes, and then will proceed ongoing in a 5 hour a week time commitment.
Candidate Requirements
Passionate about blockchain and social impact, and a desire to contribute to the Celo & GoodDollar ecosystems
1+ years experience in Sales / Revenue operations, Grants Administration, Project management, Venture Capital portfolio management, Management Consulting, or Corporate Development. Other relevant experience like managing large projects with multiple stakeholders would also be welcome.
Experience in Web3 / Blockchain is ideal but not necessary
You’ve led the building of something from zero to one, and are obsessed with operations.
Comfortable collaborating in a remote async environment with team members, grantees, and the community
High-level proficiency working in written and spoken English with stakeholders around the world

Expectations
This is a part-time role paid hourly. The expected commitment is between 15-30 hours a month.
There will be initial set up work in establishing the program and the processes, and then will proceed ongoing in a 5 hour a week time commitment.
The hourly rate will be approximately $30-40 USD an hour dependent on candidates, experience, and location. Payments may be made in crypto.
